At the end of the film, when Natalie Wood is kneeling over Richard Beymer in the playground, you see that the playground is wet ..... except where Natalie and Richard Beymer are. There is a dry circle around ten feet in diameter, so this area must have been wiped dry on a rainy day, so that the actors could do the scene without getting wet.
