In season 2 of Buffy in the first episode Spike appears in (school hard) when they are researching him Giles says "Here's some good news. He's barely 200. He's not even as old as Angel." But in season 4 of Buffy when Spike escapes from the initiative and goes to Buffy and Willow's dorm room after he tries to bite Willow several times and can't. He says i'm only 127. So is he 200 or is he 127

ashley writes:: Giles said "He's barely 200". Which basically means "he's hardly that old, he's not even 200 years old". Quite a minor issue. Barely even one. It could have just been Giles' way of saying that Spike is young and comparing his age to that of Angel's, or that the writers put in that number and didn't refer back to it once they decided to bring Spike back as a regular character.; 0 of 0 people found this comment helpful. 103bas writes:: Spike and Angel were both sired in the 1800's I believe. It's not like they kept perfect records of when people vamped.
