At the end of Chapter 9, Irma, Roy, and Patty Ann have been arguing about what to eat and Patty Ann gets a grapefruit from the fridge and stabs it (on the left side), then storms out of the kitchen. Irma turns around from the counter with what appears to be a plate of toast, and the knife is now stabbed perfectly in the center of the grapefrruit.
