When Marty is in 1955, and Doc shows Marty a picture of the flux capacitor, there are two shots of the paper it is drawn on. In the first one, the paper is all wadded up, like it has been crumpled. In the second cut, it is almost flat, with not too many wrinkles, and then Doc crumples it.
