About 2/3 of the way through the movie Anakin is leaving Padme's place at night and he walks out onto the balcony where his speeder is parked along the edge. R2D2 is in his socket along the side of the cockpit. The lower half of the ship is invisible and you can see the cityscape behind clearly. It caught my attention because it looked like R2 would need his feet removed to even have a chance of fitting in the socket and not falling out the bottom of the ship. The camera cuts to a wide shot and then comes back to the first camera angle and the lower half of the ship is visible again.
