Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith - Obi-Wan's Light - Dagger
During the final fight scene between Anakin and Obi-Wan, there is a brief scene where Obi-wans lightsaber has become either extremely short or bits were forgotten in post-production.It is quite hard to see and may well be fixed before any future DVD release.

is there a specific reason for it to be should, cos i read something on www.howstuffworks.com that their light sabre's have adjustable knobs. probly the same way that yoda's sabre is half the size of a normal sied jedi.

Although daniel is right, I do think this is a slip-up. Lightsabers do have a blade-length adjuster, but this is probably a digital effect mistake. It reminds me of the duel between Vader and Obi-Wan in Episode IV, when you can see Obi-Wan's short blade yet again.

There is no slipup here. I spotted this and it seemed strange, but it's really only because we're almost looking down the length of the sabre, which foreshortens it. It's such an unusual angle in any of the 6 movies, that it does look odd.

While yes, lightsabers can have a knob that allows the blade to lengthen, Obi-Wan never really caught on to the idea, plus it is usually impractical to shorten or lengthen the blade while in the middle of fighting, especially against someone as good with sabers as Darth Vader. This was probably a slip up.

I don't think this is a slip-up, but an Easter Egg. The first time this happened was in Star Wars: A New Hope. They had never made a movie like this before and didn't realize that "Obi Wan" should not point the lightsaber/broomstick at the comera. I think in Episode 3, they did it on purpose as a nod to the battle between Obi Wan and Anakin that took place 26 years previous. I guess Obi Wan really never did learn not to point his lightsaber at the camera while fighting his arch-nemesis.
