Star Trek: The Motion Picture - The Wardrobe Dept. Is Colorblind
When Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Decker go outside the ship to meet Vejur, they are wearing tan jackets. On the upper left sleeve each jacket has a colored stripe which denotes which division the officer serves in (white for Kirk and Decker, orange for Spock, and green for McCoy)
After Vejur evolves and the crew is back on the bridge, Spock and McCoy keep their jackets on with the colors listed above. However, when the camera zooms in on Kirk as he gives the order, "Out there.....thataway," take a quick look at the two of them standing behind Kirk's chair. Spock's jacket has a green stripe, and McCoy is now wearing the orange one.

"Vejur" is an alternate spelling. It is used in the book (written by Gene Roddenberry) and in some movie documentation.

Because A.) People are super ignorant B.) People are super lazy and C.) People just can't spell. It's sad really. I mean, why on earth would it be called Vejur when it has to be "Voyager" broken apart? V'GER is so easy to remember... Espcially for someone who spots a minute little slip up like that.

I sick and tired of seeing V'Ger misspelled. Why do people misspell this name even though it can be clearly witten out at the end of the movie?
