After the Dietz family enters the house for the first time, Delia and Otho go through the house discussing remodeling plans. After the pair go up the stairs Delia spray-paints the word "Mauve" on the wall of the first room they enter. Moments later, as they walk toward the closet the word has clearly been re-written in a different, more legible script.
