Dodgeball - Nice Chest!
Just after the Average Joes have won the tournament and are opening the chest that contains all of their winnings, if you look closely, there's a sign on the inside. It reads, "Deus Ex Machina," a term from old Greek plays that means, "Machine of the Gods," which was a device used to bring everything to a satisfactory ending for the audience if things had gotten too out of hand. I think that this might have been done on purpose, but I have no way of knowing. What I do know is that a DVD player is necessary, and a zoom function helps.

Actually, at the end, Ben Stiller's character lets his character go and he does a dance on the couch. Before this he says that, paraphrasing : The people need to be pleased with a happy ending. And durning the alternate ending, the commentary says the same thing. Personally if it ended like that with them loosing.. I would hate the movie. I like the movie with the good ending anyway

accually, in the special features, they say that some people wanted the average joes to lose, while others wanted them to win. Some people even quit because the average joes won when they wanted them to lose. So i think it is an easter egg.
