When Kevin Costner and Tim Robbins are outside and Tim tries to throw a baseball at Kevin, but breaks the glass window in the door instead, the door is closed. When Kevin punches Tim and then offers his hand, behind him the door is wide open, even though only a few seconds have passed (from the punch to helping Tim back up). It remains opened as Kevin and everyone else goes back into the bar.
