In the "Harry Canyon" scene, after the hood tries to rob him, he turns on the disintegrator in the back seat and puts the gun in his glovebox, along with his other weapons. A grenade rolls on top of the gun before he closes the glovebox. Later in the story, when he opens it again and takes the gun out, the grenade has disappeared.
