Actually, if you continue to watch this scene, you'll notice that pancake turn into a croissant, then back into a pancake. Even more magical than you thought!

Actually, you're all wrong. She picks up the croissant, then walks out onto the balcony. She comes back in, still eating the croissant, and sits down. She begins to talk to Edward, then after she's finished eating the soft bread out of the middle of the croissant, she picks up the pancake and starts eating it.

ACTUALLY, the person who spotted the blooper was right, she put the croissant down before she started eating the pancake. so, actually the pancake was magical.

Actually you are all incorrect on this one. This pancake-croissant issue is not a flub at all! The Richard Gere character says at the beginning of the scene, "I took the liberty of ordering everything on the menu." So since he ordered the whole breakfast menu, it makes sense that Vivian is eating a pancake and a croissant. And it is consistent with her character. She is a hooker living on modest means. She never lived the good life. Now she is in Edwards penthouse, and she doesnt care if shes eating pancakes with croissants. Shes eating it all. She never had it so good.
