Silence of the Lambs - The Body That Won't Decompose
They say that the first victim killed was the third victim found (because he took the time to weigh down the body). But, when they show her autopsy photos, the body is not decayed at all. Even if the body had been in the water for only a few days, it would not only have been black and decayed, it would have been bloated.

keep in mind it seemed to have been fall. maybe the water was really cold, helping to preserve the body. and i dont think the body would have been black and decayed after a few days in the water. bloated: yes. and the skin would start to sorta peel off. but black and decayed, i dont think so.
