Kevin has a conversation with the Santa from the local warehouse. After that, Santa rides off in his small car. Engaging the gear makes the typical mechanical noise from a stick shift and only a stick shift. At the same time you see Santa's right hand on the steering wheel, so he coudn't use the stick shift at the same time.

The sound of the gearbox is obviously dubbed in as a funny gimmick.
