Quiet Man, The - Not Exactly a "Come-Hither" Moment
In the final scene of the movie, Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne are sitting on a stone wall outside their cottage reconciling with each other. The O'Hara character teases & coaxes Wayne to follow her back to the cottage, pivots to one side, and swings her legs over the wall in preparation to get up and run back to the cottage. WATCH O'Hara's feet, and John Wayne's hand (which is resting on the wall) as this scene occurs. O'Hara catches her feet on Wayne's hand and gives it a pretty brutal scrape with her shoes. It evidently hurts too -- because you'll notice Wayne subtly flexing his fingers and hand as they finish the scene, like he's trying to work off the pain.

good call....I wonder if that movie had a few more slip ups... a great classic, though!

how about the scene, during the fight, when John Wayne gets dumped with a bucket of water and as he wipes his mouth, the dub over says, "thanks!" with his lips not even moving?? anyone catch that?
