Go to the scene where Wayne is in bed and about to go to Jim Morrison in the desert a second time. The first time you see him tossing and turning, he has tennis shoes on. Next shot you see him, he is barefoot. He didn't kick them off and was still tossing, so he didn't get out of bed.
