In this scene it is Sunday so they are in the Amish church after the lawyer moves in, you can clearly see Katie's mother in the front row.

She's wearing her normal house clothes. This is wrong BECAUSE the Amish wear their wedding dresses to church every Sunday, they are even buried in them when they die!

I'm surprised Jodi Picoult the author to the book Plain Truth didn't catch this.
