Simpsons - Whats with the Bib?

Ok Ive seen this slip-up many times. on Simpsons treehouse of horror V, on the part where Lisa, Bart and Milhouse come near the blender, Principal Skinner had his bib on. When the show Bart and Principal Skinner about eating Bart's shorts, they show that the principal is putting the bib on! how could that be?
