Blue Streak - Can Carlson Tell a Good Story?
Ok, now. Go to the part where Miles arrests his cousin Tony. As you all know, Miles says "Belie' dat" a lot. When Carlson is explaining the story to the other officers he says something like "He said 'Here, take my jacket' ...'What are you doing?' and then he says 'Belie' dat' ....."
If you have a memory that can remember things for five minutes, Miles never said "Belie' dat" when he was walking out into the alley. It's just that he says it so much, so you don't notice it. I KNOW I am right, because I have somehow been at someone's house when they watched it, and the times I have seen it have accumulated to 4.

You are right when you say that Lawrence never said that in the alley, but I don't think it was a slip-up. I think they had the other actor say that on purpose because it is supposed to make him look like he is really bragging about Lawrence and overexaggerating about what happened.

I have seen this movie like fifteen times and if he does say it, he doesn't say it when Carlson says he does. Plus, I think this was done on purpose.

Okay, so you've watched the movie 4 times. I guess that must make you an expert. If you're that smart, you would have realized that they did that on purpose to show you how funny it is to see a straight-laced white cop talk like a black bank robber. Also, I have to agree with another commenter on the fact that he WASN'T Miles' cousin, his name WASN'T Tony, and yes, Carlson was bragging about Miles' performance in the Alley. If you're going to broadcast your inflated ego, maybe you should know what you're talking about first.
