Carrie - The Prom Started Too Early
In one scene Amy Irving's character asks to be excused from the dinner table, asking what time it is, and is told it is eight o'clock. Based on the setting of the movie, and time of year, daylight should be seen outside, instead of pitch black sky. Also, several previous scenes show that the prom is going full swing, with dancing and music, even though the invitations clearly advertise the prom to be starting at NINE. There is a clear lack of continuity in time.
