Pirates of the Caribbean (The Curse of the Black Pearl) - Eighteenth Century Electricity?
In the first big sword fight between Jack Sparrow and Will Turner, just after Jack disarms Will and says, "and now, you have no weapon," Will turns around and grabs the almost flaming hot metal stick out of the fire and he starts fighting Jack with it. If you look closely, preferably put the DVD on slow motion, you can see the wire that was used to make the top of the stick orange going up Will's sleeve.

But when I watch the same fight scenes in the behind the scenes portions of the extended DVD, they are filiming it without Will (Orlando Blooms) sword glowing at all! I am afraid they put the glow in in post production touch ups, when they filmed the fight scene the sword was not glowing. What ever it is you see, it is not the cord that makes the sword glow if it is a cord at all!
