Gone With The Wind - Is Bonnie Dead?

In the scene where little Bonnie Blue Butler is thrown from her pony, you see where Rhett is running toward her and one hand is on the ground and the other is on her body. The position of the hands look like she is lying on her back. But when Rhett leans over her, she is lying on her stomach and both hands are on the ground.
