In one of the final scenes of the movie, about when "Let Go" by Frou Frou begins playing in the end Andrew (Zach Braff)and Sam (Natalie Portman) sit on a flight of stairs next to an escalator discussing what will become of their new relationship now that Andrew has to go back to Los Angeles. In a wide shot of the two, the escalator is working, and you even see a few extras riding up. In the close-up shots of Andrew, you'll see that the escalator behind him that was just working is stopped. When the scene closes and it cuts back to a wide shot, the escalator is working again as Andrew goes up to board his plane.
