Blues Brothers ( Original ) - Some Things to Looks For
In the beginning when Jake receives all of his belongings back after being relesed from prison, one of the items is a broken Timex digital watch. But Jake continually looks at his watch, i.e. he looks at his watch and notices they're late for their big gig at the end of the movie. Does he replace it sometime we just miss it?
Evey time they show Elwood's apartment window, a train goes by.
When Jake jumps the bridge after picking Jake up, it's much farther down than it would've been at that time.

A train goes by all the time because this is another joke because when Elwood takes Jake to his flat Jake asks something like "How often does the train go by?" and Elwood replies "So often you won't even notice."

Please explain why every time that we look out of Elwoods window a train goes by would be a slip up?

O.K. It's a joke with the watch if you were actually old enough to understand humour you would have figured this out yourself.

The makers of the movie had almost two hours of stuff to get right, and made a couple of errors. That's why it's fun to spot them. But for a contributor to this site to make the mistake of 'Jake picking Jake up' is laughable, when you've only got a few sentences to get right!! Be ashamed.
