Notebook, The - I Thought It Was Summer Time
In the scene where the two main characters are fighting and break up....there is air coming out of theirs mouths. I don't really understand this because I thought it was summer time in the south. The last I checked it had to be cold outside for you to see your breath.

If you are from anywhere in the south, you would know that you can never trust the weather. It could be cold and rainy one moment and then hot and dry the next, even in the summer. They were fighting when it was dark out and as we all know, it tends to cool down a bit at night. Under perfect conditions, this slipup would hold up. Weather is unpredictable, even in North Carolina.

Actually, you all are right; down here in the south the weather is very unpredictable. As a matter of fact yesterday i was wearing a jacket and today i wore a tank top. But also this film was shot during the fall as we stated in the commentary of the movie. This was the only time that we could get the perfect shots for this movie.

The Notebook was shoot in the south during the fall season. The setting for the movie is summer, but production of The Notebook took place in the fall. That is the reason why you can see the actor's breath in the movie.

your right. you can't trust the weather but i highly doubt that even in those conditions it would get that cold out. where i'm from the weather changes every five minutes but never that cold in the summer time. but i understand what you mean. it just bothered me that's all.
