Butterfly Effect, The - Cut in Two Different Places
Go to the first scene where Crocket dies. Tommy swings the piece of wood and hits Kayleigh. Evan tries to wake her up and you could see the cut near her temple (right in front of her ear). Now go to the scene where Evan saves Crocket. When Kayleigh sees her brother dead she screams and you could see the cut on her cheek.

If you watch the director's commentary, they did it on purpose. It's suppose to signify how little things could changed when he went back in time.

this isnt a slip up, there are subtle little differences every time evan goes back. its just as if he hit kayleigh two times consecutively in the same dimension, chances are he would strike two different spots, just like the other slip-up where tommy says "you listen to me evan and you listen good" in one time parallel and just "you listen to me good evan" in another. subtle little differences. thats why it's called "the btterfly effect." besides, do you really think the editors/directors/staff wouldnt notice the three inch different in the placement and shape of her scar?

I agree, that every change Evan made in the past, it made changes that rippled through the fabric of time, therefore the cut can be very believeably moved

This was by no means a slip up. It was a very obvious part of the plot. When this event first happened kaleigh gets hit on the side of her head. When Ashton's character goes back to this event, he slows the group down. Instead of the trio running through the junkyard as soon as they see the smoke Evan makes them wait while he finds something to cut the rope. Because of the time delay Kaleigh gets hit on the cheek instead of the side of her head.

if you listen to the directors cut they say that the board they say that the board has a nil sticking out the other side so apparently the boardwas turned on the other side the second time he hit her.
