In the movie at the time of 1 hour and 30 seconds, Johnny Depp opens his front door and takes Shooter's hat out of the trash bag and throws it on the coffee table. Right when Johnny Depp starts walking away from it you can clearly see that the top of the hat is indented, but when he begins to walk away the phone rings. And the very next frame after they show Depp's face is the hat on the coffee table with no dent.
