Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - Eyes Wide Shut
After Sam has defeated the spider at the Pass of Cirith Ungol he runs to unwrap Frodo from the spider's webbing. After the wrapping is off, the camera is looking down onto Frodo and you see Frodo's full face and his BIG eyes wide open and "dead". Very much a focal/visual point. Cut to the next few seconds where the camera angle is straight on as Sam is about to pick up and cradle Frodo, Frodo's eyes are very much shut only to be open again as the camera's POV moves above / behind Sam.

Samuel McCracken writes:
He was "dead", but he was really just paralized. Shelob stabbed him with her stinger and he just didnt shut his eyes before the poison kicked in.

Samuel obviously didn't read the slipup closely enough. It says that his eyes are open in one shot and then shut in another. Anyways, I noticed this too, and I'm convinced it is a slipup

Actually, if you look carefully, Frodo's eyes are actually open in the scene mentioned here, it's just a weird angle so they look closed.
