Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Is Harry's Arm Broken?
Right after Harry catches the golden snitch and lands on the floor, he is seen rolling back and forth to avoid the rogue bludger. At one point he is seen sitting up with both hands on the ground, palms down. Hard to do with a broken arm.

I noticed that as well. I fractured my right arm once and there is no way I could have leaned on both of my arms like he did in that scene. Definitely a slip up.

Harry didn't break his arm, the bones dissapeared.

Harry first broke his arm, and the part that anonymous is referring to is before Harry's bones disappear. The bludger hit his arm, causing it to break. Once he landed on the ground, he was leaning on both arms even though his right one was supposed to be broken. It wasn't until Professor Lockhart attempts to fix Harry's arm that the bones disappear, and that was after the bit anonymous was referring to.

I also have broken my arm a great many times in my life (fragile bones) and although it is a painful experience it does not hinder the arm completely useless. Hard to do, sure. But very far from impossible.

He might not have been leaning on it.

It depends on the kind of fracture he had. I had a greenstick fracture and i could have lent on it if i wanted to, even though it would have been painfull. Harry did break his arm, his bones dissapear because Lockhart uses the wrong spell to try and fix it.

Maybe the fact a Bludger was trying to kill him distracted him from the pain?

I think I do remember him leaning on his arm after he broke it, but I don't remember him leaning on it after Lockhart made his bones disapear, because he folds his arm then it flops back and I think, I'm not too sure, but I think right after that it cuts to the "nurses office" and he couldn't have leaned in it then, not without taking his arm out of the sling it was in.

And as for the other comment, his bones disapeared because that teacher screwed while trying to fix his BROKEN ARM- so they were at one time broken, when they were still there

Please understand that the person who wrote the slip up is clearly referring to before his bones disappeared. He does lean on both arms sitting up,, i agree however it maybe adrenaline causing him to forget the pain. He also sits up with considerabe pain.

Ok, would rather have some pain in my arm than die from getting hit in the head with a bludger. and p.s. wontonguy22, Harry did get his arm broken, his bones dispeared later when Pro. Lockheart tried to fix it.
