Signs - Merrill Joins the Marines
The scene where Merrill enters the Army recruiting office you will find a poster on the wall. The poster says ARMY, but the picture is of a Marine. The sleeves rolled gray side out, the octagon cover withe the Eagle Globe and Anchor on it, and if you look closely you can see that the name tape on the right side of his chest has way too many letters to say U.S. ARMY. Being mistaken for a soldier in our Army is never an insult, unless you are already a United States Marine.

they do that in a lot of movies. i recall someone saying something about the movie The Day After Tomorrow and something about the people dressed in the wrong uniforms for what they were supposed to be. you'd think after now they'd get it down pat but they seem to think no one will notice.
