Denton theorizes (and is later shown correct in the movie) that the Dragons reproduce like fish, the female lays the eggs, and the male comes along later and fertilizes them, and he tells Quinn this. However, when Quinn pulls the egg out of the dead Dragon, we clearly see an outline of a baby Dragon inside the amber-colored egg. The egg was not fertilized, so how did the embryo start growing?
