Aliens - Appearing Mug
At the very beginning of Alien you can see the computer after a pan of the ship. The ships computer turns on displaying some random data. There is no mug to the right of the keyboard. After a quick look to the helmet facing the computer it pans back to the computer displaying a tupperware mug which wasn't there before.
Also, when crew member Kane's chest explodes at the birth of the Alien on their dinner table, the first sign of blood at the bursting, is sprayed on. You'll probably have to pause advance to see it but it looks quite stupid replayed over and over again.

The mug is not a slip up, if you look closely you can see that the movie is showing 2 different computers, If you pay attention to the "Chattering Hard Drives" you can put together that the 2 computers are talking to each other.

I read an interview with John Hurt in an old British movie magazine that the chest burster sequence had been filmed in a couple of parts, the first part that you mention looked artificial to the camera, so they quit while a better method was devised. Unfortunately they forgot to mention this to Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), so when they overdid it and she got splattered with blood, her shocked reaction was genuine, and they kept it.

Also, wrong movie. I think you're talking about ALIEN - this is the section for ALIENS.
