Felicity - Wedding or Funeral?
At the very end of the series finale, there are a bunch of shots of the cast at Noel's wedding. I'm sure everyone who watched this episode noticed that Alana was at the wedding...but she is supposed to be dead! The producers probably just wanted to include the entire cast since it was the last episode, but I thought it was really weird to see her there. If they wanted to avoid this, they could have just not killed her off in the first never really made much sense anyway.

This is not technically a mistake. It's true that Elena dies in a car crash. However, Felicity goes back in time and convinces Elena to attend Duke University. When Felicity wakes up in the future and attends BNoel's wedding, Elena walks in. Elena tells Felicity that she tok her advice and went to Duke, thereby avoiding the fatal car crash. It may be a real lame plot device but it is not a mistake to include her in the cast shots.

Because Felicity traveled back in the past, she told Elena to attend Duke instead of Columbia, thus avoiding the tragic car accident. My question, thought, is since Felicity went back to the past, Ben did not get to spend time with Lauren, who at first had his child. Lauren had called Ben to warn him about his sick father, but Ben went to care for Felicity instead. So, because he never met Lauren, I'm assuming he never really had the child, either. Would this be correct? And I would have loved it if Felicity and Ben had gotten married, or at least had a baby!
