At the end of part two of this mini-series Mark (the farm boy) graps a can of diesel from in the house then tells everyone it is diesel. Takes the can and pours it over the fields, the field is then ignited with a match and whooshes up in flames like an explosion. The slipup is Diesel cannot be ignited, it doesn't burn unless under pressure, you can put a match in diesel and it will just go out, yet on this it exploded like petrol.
