Amadeus - Conducting the Orchestra?
Throughout the movie, Mozart, and others, are shown conducting orchestras in much the same way as a modern conductor. In fact, the job of conductor did not exist in Mozart's time. If Mozart had directed a performance, he would have done so as a member of the orchestra, playing keyboard or violin.
