Fast and the Furious, The - Running with No Gear?
In the scene where the four cars are racing, just when the race has started, Eddy floors his gear clutch and floors his gas petal, driving the car forward... Let's see... If he did that, it would terribly screw up his engine as he is trying to spin the rotary when the gear is not in place. I know that it's just a movie and he is actually sitting in a studio in a "model" car surrounded by blue screen, but shouldn't they at least get him to press the petals right?

I drive a clutch and when you push the clutch in and switch gears, you can push the gas down before the clutch is fully up.

Free revving the 13b in the Rx7 wont blow it up, especially a turned 13b. Of course if you over-rev and hold it for a while, itll eventually overheat like crazy, and probably blow up a few apex seals. Trust me when I say this, you could over rev to 8 grand and still be safe on a decently fresh motor. I've seen a 2nd generation Rx7 hold 8grand for damned near 15 minutes and not blow the engine, surprised the hell out of me, the radiator blew the cap and the exhaust caught fire before the engine popped. Do me a favor and learn a little. Heres something to help you out- www.nopistons.com thatll teach you alot about rotary engines ;P
