For the last ArenaBowl, broadcast like on ABC, viewers go to listen in on huddle chatter. Apparently the players in arena football are so close to the stands all the network technicians had to do was aim a microphone with a big parabolic dish at the huddle to hear every word.
During one huddle, the quarterback was heard saying, quite loudly, and quite clearly: "We're gonna drive this s**t down the middle, and score some f***ing POINTS!" right there on live national television. The announcers attempted to put on a good face by saying quite matter-of-factly, "When it gets down to these situations, that's what really matters, getting some points."
ABC, having not immediately learned their lesson, aimed their microphones at yet another huddle. This time the quarterback began to explain to all of America that "We need to ram this s**t down, and----" By that point, the censor who was supposed to be monitoring the broadcast had woken up and bleeped out the rest of the statement. So far the funniest (and only) moment I have ever seen in arena football!
