In the scene right before Uncle Lewis sets fire to the tree, there is a scene in the dining room where you can see Clark and the living room is in the background with the Christmas tree. Right before Uncle Lewis explodes the tree, they shoot back to the same shot, and the tree has disappeared before the explosion has even happened.
