Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone/Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - Scar Changes Shape and Size
The scar on Harry's forehead changes shapes and sizes throughout the movie. When we first see him as a boy the scar is long and condensed. When he shows the scar to his friend on the train, it's smaller and a lot fatter than before. Later on in the movie when he fights his way through the trapdoor, etc. it's thin again and a lot broader than before. Were my eyes deceiving me?

This is a slip-up, but of course you can't judge them for not being perfect. Daniel obviously doesn't have the scar in real life, so you have to give the make-up artists a little room for mess-ups.

Well, when Harry was a baby, the scar would have appeared bigger because Harry's forehead was smaller, therefore making it seem smaller when he was grown. Remember that, at the end, Harry's scar would have been throbbing because he was near evil, which could have cause it to be a different shape.

And you assumed that they put a metre stick to Daniel's forehead and measured?
