In the scene when they are on the roofs and are sending Walters riding lawn tractor out as a decoy. After Val takes off for the Cat and the Graboids are chasing the tractor, the tractor tips over. In the sand in front of the tractor, you can see the rope that is pulling it coming out of the ground as it tips.
I noticed this too! I didn't notice this until I had been coming to this site for a few days. It was cool! I think this slip-up was fairly obvious, if you know where to look.
