Sleepy Hollow - Does Breaking Glass Make Noise, or Not?
Browse to the church house scene where all the town's people are meeting near the end of the film. Katrina's father, Baltus Van Tassel, stands behind the wooden podium and yells something about a conspiracy. He is standing right in front of a large glass window. The horseman hurls a wooden stake "through" the window and it jabs itself through Baltus' chest like a harpoon. However, at that time, most viewers are so distracted by the intensity of this moment that they do not notice that the window has not broken. You would think, since the window was in plain view, that they would at least show a hole or have a crackling sound of some sort! It is then when Baltus is pulled back through the window that it shatters into pieces. Kind of strange, wouldn't you say?

Lord Voldemort writes:
The piece of fence does make a hole. But because it was thrown so fast, it is a small hole. If you freeze the movie after it goes through him, you will see a hole. Also, I did hear the glass break.
