When they are bringing the Samoan guy to the infirmary, the captain (Donald Sutherland) says it's down that "corridor". Every sailor knows that aboard ship it's a "passageway".
Hmm... Maybe the captain said it to somebody who wasn't familiar at ships? So that they should understand it...

Corridor, Passageway does it really matter that much. If someone is injured don't you think he'd forget about the lingo of captains. Besides it's not a slipup anyway because it is possible for him to be able to say corridor.
