Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - Not Really Surfing on the Net
At the beginning of the movie, Jay and bob surf on the Internet with Ben Affleck character who show them a site about the upcoming movie made with there character. If you look in the address bar of the browser they use, you will see "file://something" instead of the usual "http://www.something". Any web developer will understand that they are actually not on a true web page but instead in some file the director have put LOCALLY on the computer.
It's pretty stupid because the second time they goes on this web site (when they are at the restaurant), you then see the normal "http://www.something" in the address bar...

Perhaps this is true (I haven't gone back to check), however note the site. It is www.moviepoopshoot.com. At least the people on charge of the movie actually developed the web site for the movie. It has all the "comments" as well as the notable one by Jay and Silent Bob themselves from the Mooby joint.

Yea, When Jay and silent bob were looking at the comp in the restaurant the address in the bar was probably http://www.moviepoopshoot.com Yes! It is an actual site. I am guessing it was made to show in the movie since it is a 'dummy' site. Its got some of the funny forums in it from the movie tho. But if this site was made to show in the movie then why wasn't it shown in the first scene?????
