Near the end of the movie, when the mother is getting the two kids out of the house, they all run past the side of the house, and an explosion of dirt sprays all over them.

During this scene, the mother is holding Carol Anne in a protective manner. If you look carefully, you can plainly see that she is actually holding a life-sized doll of Carol Anne. Kind of cool, I thought.
