Near the beginning of the movie, the commander crash lands into the pond on the planet of the apes. His pod sinks to the bottom of the pond. He breaks the seal of the pod in order to get out, but when the camera changes to the under-water view, there is no big bubble of air escaping. There was a lot of air in the pod before the seal was broken.
