Parent Trap, The (1998) - Double Piercing?
When Hallie is piercing Annie's ear, you can see that her ear is already pierced and Hallie is just sticking a pin through it. Yeah, I know she wasn't actually going to pierce her ear, but they could have made it look more real.

What do you expect them to do? I mean, how much more real could they have made it look without actually piercing her ear?

Well, they could have used make-up to conceal the little hole.

Well of course there is going to already be a hole there, it's the same girl playing the two parts, but yea, they could've covered it up a little.

They aren't really twins there is only one girl playing two parts. So she already had her ears pierced for Hallie's part. So this wasn't a slip-up.

Yeah they could have put make up on to cover the hole but that wouldn't have been very smart. She stuck a pin through someone's ear, and if it would have been covered with make up there is a likely chance of her putting the pin in the wrong place.

This is a professional movie, therefore they should have covered it up better.

sounds like a desperate attempt to be smart. why in gods name would they actually pierce an 11 year olds ear on screen? about it being a big production and using make up, if they were actually stupid enough to do it, the make up could have hindered the ability to see an existing hole and turned out messy. a good point, but no need to have posted it.

That is not a slip-up. How could they make it more real, if they put make up over it, then Hallie would stick the pin somewhere else.
