Bring It On - Sudden Music Stopping
1. First when they are doing tryouts and the girl in the slutty outfit is dancing on the table to the music, Jan falls out of his chair and at that moment, the music all of a sudden stops....
2. When Sparky Pollastry is teaching then the routine and he is getting mad about their spirit fingers not being up to par, he picks up the stool and slams it against the bar then, again, automatically the music stops

They do that a lot in movies. It helps with the feel of the scene. The music still being there would have corrupted what they were aiming for. I'm a drama student, so that stuff comes up a lot.

If you have the DVD of this movie, then you will understand that for the stripper scene they had to pay 4,000 dollars to buy the song "sweet cherry pie" for that scene. He also explains that it doesn't play through the whole scene because of the expenses for it.

Another thing about the scene with Sparky getting mad and picking up the stool...did the stool seem to fall apart before it actually hit the bar??
