Smokey and the Bandit - Super Car
In the scene where they are going to jump the bridge to get away. There is a very quick shot of the car interior. Watch carefully as the Bandit pushes the gear shift into PARK to jump the bridge.
Also, listen to the car throughout the movie. You hear a four speed and sometimes five speed manual transmission. How do you get those sounds out of a three speed automatic?
Finally, when the Bandit passes the Snowman on the right side and takes out about 10 mailboxes, there isn't one scratch on the car when he is done.

I always found it interesting that automatic needed a clutch pedal which you see several times when showing the bandits footwork in the car.

I know that this does not have anything to do with Smokey and the Bandit but it is in the third movie. Look at the trans-am against the Hawaian tropic trailer. doesn't the trailer look a little taller for the shot. and if anybody wants to know I work with semi trailer all day so this was probally done just for the movie. but I found it intersting and thought I would put it on the site for everybody to see.
