Everyone knows that the wild west had few of the modern materials found today. Go to the famous scene where the four line up before the shootout at the OK Corral. Notice the fire in the background. A guy (character one) is using a wooden bucket to put out the flames. Character one then runs to get more water. Soon afterwards (character two) runs in front of them carrying a white plastic bucket to the fire. Soon after that, a third runs behind them carrying another white plastic bucket. I am quite sure there weren't any white plastic buckets in the old west.
