American Pie 2 - French Postcard?
The brief slip up which I am submitting occurs approximately halfway through the movie when Oz receives a postcard from his girlfriend Heather who is apparently in France. On the post card it clearly says something along the lines of "with love from Paris", while the stamp on the top right of the postcard is an American stamp with the American flag depicted on it. Clearly if someone who is vacationing in France is going to send a postcard to the United States the stamp should be French. That is, unless, Heather happens to travel with American stamps in her back pocket.

p.s. You can't send a postcard from a foreign country with an American stamp.

An extra comment! It says on all the adverts and web-sites that she went to Spain!

Yes, I noticed this too. I tried to read the postmark and it has no date, but it appears to be an American stamp and an American postmark on a foreign postcard. Oops!

She went all over, not only to Spain but to France also. And, NO, she was not having an affair. You see her several times throughout the movie. You all need to watch more carefully.

Some of you have to watch the movie more carefully. She did her summer abroad program in Spain. One of her flatmates has a girlfriend who lives in France.

Did it ever occur to you that she may have purchased the stamps in an airport in a shop where they have American stamps?

I don't see anything wrong with the American stamp being on the French postcard. I go out of the country & I buy stamps before I leave to put on my postcards all the time.
